is it too difficult??

today, i teach my student the concept of power index and log.

i dun know why, the student always relay the calculator instead of his own brain.

the class flow is like that:

1+1+1+1 =1X4
2+2+2+2+2+2=2X6

so X is a simplified version of +

how about this?
1X1X1X1X1 = ?? the kid answer 1. good
2X2X2X2X2X2X2X2X2=??? the kid ask to calculator.

that's raise a question: is there any simplified version for that?

after. introduced some basic rule for index

let raise a question:
10^1=10
10^2=100
10^3=1000

is there something x, such that
10^x =20?
10^x = 50??

than , i introduce the log

after that, the basic rule for log

finally, i introduce the slid rule to the kid, teach him how to play with it.
